This year at Berta Bridal’s NYBFW presentation, I decided to rely solely on film photography. As a Vermont and NYC film wedding photographer, I wasn’t after the images typically produced at this type of event.

The Inn and Gardens at Shelburne Farms is one of the best locations in Vermont for proposals, engagement portraits, and wedding photography. I’ve held countless photo sessions in the flower garden behind the Inn, and shamelessly study the arc and timing of sunset throughout the season to ensure that all photography sessions are scheduled during the best light at golden hour. This spectacular venue offers a variety of backdrops for photographers with manicured grounds, beautiful architecture, and views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains in New York.

I met with Morgan and Sean in late spring (exactly one year out from their wedding date) for their engagement photos, and the location did not disappoint.

Perfect weather coupled with spring greenery and blooms outside in the garden (any wedding photographer’s dream). We even had time to explore inside the mansion and take a few late night flash-inspired photos with a second look.
